So I survived my maiden voyage to Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts 2011 and I must say that I’m still completely blown away by the experience. Yes, there was rain, and yes, that did mean rivers of mud and mountains of poo flowing from the Portaloos, but if anything, these things only made the experience richer. It brings a certain camaraderie to the crowd. A unity that sweeps across all areas of the festival and raises spirits even further.
I’ll post more later about the cool, amazing and downright twisted parts of Glastonbury, such as the fire-breathing, lightning-spewing Spider in Arcadia, and the pre-apocalyptic dystopian wonderland of Shangri-La. For now though please enjoy this picture that I took of a cool looking bloke on Pennard Hill enjoying the sunset over Pulp’s gig on the Park Stage. I don’t know who the guy is but I did like his hat!

So I don’t know about you, but this here robot is actually a bit of a petrol head. While I’ll quite happily watch a game of football, cricket, or at a push, rugby, I’m not massively into ball sports. This is mainly because I’m not very good at them. What I am good at, however, is motorsport. Read more »
Everybody loves a good board game don’t they. I’ve got fond memories of playing games as a kid and the fun was seemingly endless. From The Game of Life, Coppit and Cluedo, to those frustrating family sessions of Operation, the times were all good.
Unfortunately for my family, playing Operation was the closest I ever got to being a Doctor (sorry Mum). I might have been a bit more inspired to work hard at school and aim to take the Hippocratic Oath, but my medical career ended when I threw a strop for not being able to successfully remove that flipping slice of bread from the stomach in Operation! Now, I’m not in any way suggesting that the demise of NHS should be blamed on MB Games, but just imagine what life could be like if they’d made the ‘Bread Basket’ procedure a little easier. Fair play if you ever succeeded. Bask in the glory of your well deserved 1000 points. Read more »
I spotted this selection of packaging quite a while ago on one of the many design blogs that I read, so it is a little old and you may have already seen it before. If that’s the case, then I’m sorry. I will endeavour to find you all some more up-to-date stuff in future. Or at the very least, I’ll try to post things as soon as I spot them rather than saving a draft and leaving it to fester in the back-end of my blog, gathering virtual pixel dust for all eternity.
