Beautiful tilt-shift stop animation videos from Keith Loutit
Posted in 02. Photography, Video by DRI’ve been a great admirer of Keith Loutit’s work for a while now and think you should all take a look at his videos if you’ve never heard of him before. Using a load of photographic trickery including tilt-shift and stop-motion animation, Keith manages to turn the everyday world into a captivating miniature version of itself. Mainly based around Sydney, Australia, Keith’s playful ‘Toy Town’ creations are really charming and nice. My personal favourite is Bathtub IV, filmed with the help of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service (which depends entirely on the generosity and support of sponsors and the community to stay flying. Donations can be made at lifesaver.org.au/funding_challenge/donate.html)
Another great thing about Keith’s films are the music. Bathtub IV is set to ‘Clementine’ by Megan Washington which perfectly fits the mood of the video.
What are you waiting for? Go take a look…
