Dyson Air Multiplier – bladeless desk fan

While 200 quid is still far too much money to be blowing on a desk fan (no pun intended, obviously), I do still really love the new Air Multiplier from Dyson. In true James Dyson style, the Air Multiplier breaks from convention by doing away with the blades usually found on a desk fan and using a combination of engineering, fluid dynamics and black voodoo magic to produce a flow of smooth, uninterrupted air.

Duncan Greere at Pocket Lint explains the inner workings much better than I could, so pop on over there to find out more.

But first, dribble a little over the minimal industrial design style…
